Description
Our tankwagon or TW coupling MK in brass is one of our most sold items. The MK coupling made from high grade brass material is also called the female TW coupling.
The complete MK part consists of the crownpiece & handle. Both parts together make the female TW coupling.
This MK coupling is mostly assembled on a rubber hose which has a BSP outer thread.
Due to the NBR sealing / NBR washer on the inner thread a leakfree connection is created.
Brass tank wagon couplings are often used in situations where safety is a top priority, especially in environments involving flammable liquids or gases.
The key reason for using brass instead of stainless steel in some tank wagons is that brass is less likely to cause sparks upon impact.
When brass hits the ground or comes into contact with other hard surfaces, it is less likely to generate a spark compared to harder metals like stainless steel.
This is crucial in preventing accidental ignitions in hazardous areas, where even a small spark can trigger an explosion or fire, especially when flammable substances are involved.
We have this coupling available in three sizes, from 2" up to 4".
